Juicing/Healthy eating : How to & why it saved my life.

Just recently discovered the joy of juicing and healthy living thanks to my bearded, beautiful hunk of a soul mate Rob.
Why i never did it in the past blows my mind.
While juicing, you get all the nutrients you need plus some!
Its an easy way to get all the goodies from vegetables or fruit without having to actually chew them (if eating veggies is difficult for some, then this is for you)!

Some of you know i was diagnosed with a heart "problem" in 2010. Nuero-cardiogenic syncope syndrome. Whatever the hell that is. They prescribed me Zoloft. Why they prescribed me an anti-depressant will always be a question.
Two years later, i was diagnosed with Narcolepsy.
Narcolepsy is when you have the sudden urge to just fall asleep randomly. I fell asleep driving and during class and knew something was up.
They put me on Modafinil. A drug that they don't even know what part of the body it affects. Thats fun.

Doing research on where Zoloft takes your body after a few years of being on it is super scary. I encourage everyone to do their research! We don't really need all the meds that Drs are pumping into us!

Luckily i have a boyfriend who is studying health and saw all the drugs i was on, and sincerely wanted to get me off them. And so he did. With the help of a healthy diet, exercise and JUICING!

After about a month or two, i had completely stopped taking the Zoloft and was on my way to cutting out the Narcolepsy meds. Scary, but i did it.

Changing my lifestyle is 100% what helped me through that transition. After we would juice, i would feel amazing. I had energy, i wasn't always tired and i stopped feeling the urge to take a nap.
I still to this day, maintain a healthy diet of eating most organic produce, and drinking lots and lots of water. And coffee. Hitting the gym multiple times a week and being OFF the drugs, makes me feel like a new woman.

If i can do it, so can you. Sometimes all it takes is someone you love telling you that you need to change or your health will be at risk. And thats all it took for me. He is constantly by my side, cheering me on and keeping me in check and i couldn't be more thankful for that guy!

Here is our juicing ingredients and what you will need: All organic.

A juicer, any brand, any size will work. And a good attitude toward trying something new!

bundle of carrots
kale or turnip greens
oranges or grapefruits (peeled)
beets (SUPERFOOD)

Optional:
broccoli
wheatgrass
ginger
apples
asparagus
spinach

Live Organically.

First.

1. Stop eating processed foods filled with chemicals that wreck your body. Go Organic! #nongmo. Look it up, it will change your life. It did mine.

2. Stop listening to the Gov. Most of what is on the news is lies. Go to RTNews to see what's really going on in the world. It tells the truth about the Monsanto Co. and thats different story.

3. Passionate about something? Then get it. Do all you can to achieve it, if you don't, then you don't deserve it.

4. PUT GOD FIRST. And people wonder why they are so lost & confused…
http://odb.org

5. Exercise and get out of the bubble that is your "life" so many people would die for a chance to walk. And it's sad because most of them will. Get outside, walk your dog, get out from behind your tv sets!

Been noticing that in order to change your life and the world around you, you have to pay attention to the signs. The reason our country is in turmoil is because people are greedy and are pushing God out. Companies are pumping the nation full of processed and chemical filled "food" & we wonder why so many have cancer. It's sad because most people don't do the research and most people don't even know what is in the food they are eating. Nothing will change, unless you change it- I'll step off my soap box now.

Don't forget to live, in these times it is critical to not let the swamps of the world hold you down.

Play with Cold

COLDPLAY

My all time favorite band of the history of music. This band has been with me every step of my life. Its on my favorite TV shows, it's on my iPod, my phone and in my head all day everyday. Each song has a memory behind it so that when i hear them i am always taken back.
Coldplay is a band whose lyrics have meaning behind them. Every word that they sing leaves an imprint on you. One day, i will see them in concert. I honestly cant believe i haven't yet.
If you haven't listened to them, give them a shot. I promise you wont be disappointed.
My favorite songs:

Fix You
Till Kingdom Come
See You Soon
The Scientist
Lost
Green Eyes
Every Teardrop is a Waterfall
Yellow
Us Against The World
Paradise
Christmas Lights
Lovers In Japan
A Rush of Blood to the Head
In My Place
Reign of Love
Viva la Vida
Violet Hill

The ones in BOLD are my absolute favorites. Couldn't live without them.
Cheers!

Wedding Bells

This weekend was filled with so much love.
I got to see my family and my favorite pit bull, Tilly. She ate a highlighter and got sick. Poor baby :(
I attended my little brother's first 8th grade football game. They won. YES!

I attended one of my best friends weddings! Congrats to Cesaley and Justin.
I got to see some people i haven't seen in years and be a bridesmaid to one of my oldest pals.
P.S. I introduced the bride and groom, i should get props for that right?

Were silly.

 The bride.

The groom.

 Sickly Tilly.

Brought my little brother lunch to school today. It was so strange walking the halls of middle school again. It brought me back to when things were a lot simpler.
I got to sit with him and 2 of his friends while he pointed out all the "cute girls"
i love this guy.

I also got to spend time with some of the best babies i know today!

I look like a creep, but how cute does baby Claire bear look sleeping? Precious.

Every time i go back to East Texas, i always leave taking away such heartfelt memories. I am so extremely blessed to have the people in my life that i do. I thank God every single day for giving me my little world. It isn't anything special but it is everything to me.
Cheers

Carry On

Doc said to take it east after my surgery, but i just can't. I was doing so well before and i don't want to lose it. Sorry doc but i almost got my stride back.

Houston nights.

First Aggie game of the season. YES!

Work.

My favorite part of the story. This is where, it really, gets interesting.
Finally, after 4 months, i get to see my best friend of the entire world.
In Pasadena, Texas. At the best rodeo of my life we finally reunite!

What i've learned about best friends and distance is that they never actually separate.
No matter how far apart or how long you go without seeing your best friend, its always the same when you see them again. At least thats how it is for me and my friend Val. I am very fortunate to have the people that i do in this life. I like to think that God had very important plans when he picked the people i would spend most of my time with.
So ladies and gentleman, if you have lost your way with a friend or rarely speak to them any more, pick up the phone and make it right.
I dont know where i would be in this life without my friends.
Think about it.
Carry on.

Cheers
