Bachelorette Party Weekend

Waking up in Houston always makes my heart happy. There is just something about that city that makes me feel alive and like I'm a young 21 year old.
It also reminds me that i am not a young 21 year old [hehe]

The saying, "the days go slow but the years go fast" is so relevant to my life right now.
In 26 days i will be a married woman, and i never in a million years would of thought id ever have my very own bachelorette party!

My bridesmaid and cousin Laura, and my maid of honor Alexi treated me to the city.
We ate good food, had a spa day, shopped, went downtown and danced at a piano bar.

We used UBER for the first time. "Cabs are here"!

And laughed at Jimmy Fallon videos. "EW"

Lifes good, y'all.

This cookie cake saved my life.

Below is Tiny Box Woods. The most amazing brunch spot in Houston.

Champagne fruit punch.

Spa day.

This is the view from our amazing hotel.

We bought these cute rings to wear out everynight. They were a hit.

This girl and i were celebrating our parties the same night!
When we saw each other, we pointed and ran and hugged like we were best friends.

Night #2.

Ate the best sushi I've ever had at RA.

The aftermath....

At the end of the trip, i realized that i was so thankful i didn't do a typical bachelorette party. Just isn't me anymore. I didn't want strippers, i didn't want the club scene. I just wanted time with my girls, good drinks and food, and great quality time to myself and with friends.

I can't thank you ladies enough for catering to me during the most special time of my life.

I love you all!

Surprise parties & wedding hair

Today marks 31 days until the wedding. 31. freaking. days.
Becoming a Robertson is getting more and more real guys.

Last weekend i got the family together and surprised my mom for her birthday at her favorite restaurant, Wasabis. She has done so much for the wedding, pretty much all the planning and she deserves the world!

This is my fiancé, being the cutest.

Colbys mother and my mother, talking wedding plans.

My grandmother, grandfather and Larry [he takes darn good care of my grandpa]

These eggs are fresh laid, all natural eggs that a guy brings to the office a few days a week. I can't pass up 18 fresh laid eggs for $3 bucks. FYI, free range, cage free and all those labels you see on your eggs at the store...such a scam.

Tonight i went to my FABULOUS hair stylist Tyler and we did a run through of my wedding hair. I could not be more in love! He had the same vision as me and I'm so STOKED to rock this look on my wedding day!

Oh yeah, and it took 64 bobby pins to hold up my massive amount of hair.

As the wedding draws closer, more things are falling in place. I now only hope to take each day as it comes and to not rush the wedding as much as i want to be married to Colby. This moment will pass and i want it to be special. If you're engaged and your wedding is a year away, take advantage. It will fly by, i promise!

Tomorrow i travel to Houston with Alexi and Laura for my bachelorette party.

Bridal/Lingerie Shower #2

Yet again, i have the most amazing people surrounding me during this bliss full time in my life!
A handful of girls got together and threw me a BEAUTIFUL/OVER THE TOP lingerie shower.
Sometimes i have a hard time accepting things from others, it makes me feel anxious like i don't deserve all the love. Im slowly learning to let others pour into me, without me feeling like i owe something back to them.

Im also learning how to find the joy in my life. For so long, i let the enemy and daily life burdens take over my mind and heart. I let the things of this world consume me and bring me down. I took it out on my family and i took it out on Colby.

After the shower Colby and i sat on the floor and he held me and reassured me that he is proud of me and the woman i am becoming.
[i used to be a ugly person on the inside]

in short, every day is a challenge for me. Every day i battle with God on doing what is holy to him and to not indulge in what this world is pushing on me & pushes on everyone.

Thankfully i have a GREAT support system and people around me who care and love me.
Now lets get to the good stuff!

P.S. Thank you Michaela for letting us party at your house!

Bri made the beautiful cakes!

Amber and I

As soon as everyone walked in the door, they had to put on one of these rings.
Anyone who said they word "bride" or "wedding" had to give up their ring.
Whoever had the most rings at the end of the day won a prize! so fun!

Typical Bri & myself.

These ladies rocked it and i couldn't have loved it more even in my wildest dreams!
I got some wicked awesome, sexy lingerie and i can't wait until the honeymoon!

Remember to love the little things in life. The little things are what gets us by.

Cheers
