END WHOLE30 CHALLENGE//START KAYLA ITSINES BBG

Whole30 you were so good to me. But I had to give you up. I ended the challenge while in New Orleans. I celebrated with Cafe Du Monde. All in all the challenge was amazing. I lost a total of 6 pounds and am now at 137. I couldn't be more happier with the way my body is looking and feeling.

I will not continue with Whole30 for the sole reason being that it requires a high fat level for energy. And my body had an extremely hard time processing all the fat. Yes, I lost weight. But I also lost 12 pounds doing high carb low fat and felt amazing too.

I loved the idea of Whole30 being vegetable based. I will still keep that factor and still keep avoiding sugar. So Whole30, thank you for the cleanse, i hope to try you again in the future.

I hesitate posting pictures of me in my bikini. I was terrified in the beginning and I'm even terrified now. I don't want there to be a question about if i am flaunting my body to the world. That is not my reason of posting the after pictures. So please, no judgement. I am proud and i entered into the challenge baring all, and will go out the same.

The picture on the left was the night before my wedding. 154 pounds. The picture on the right is at my cousins bridal shower (who also is making an appearance in the pic on the left) On the right i am 137.

Left: Honeymoon. Right: Current.

Colby noticed my baby bicep at the pool the other day. I never knew i could be so proud in my own skin. I also never thought i could feel this strong. I have my husband, my friends and Kayla Itsines workouts to thank for that.

When I started my weights journey after graduation college, I was 170lbs. We have come a long way guys! I am now on week 2 on the Kayla Itsines workouts. Guys, she is no joke. Every Monday - Wednesday - Friday at 5:30am. Morgan and i go to our friend Kayla's garage and do the Kayla workouts. No they aren't the same person! Here is the link to her page. Kayla Itsines Bikini Body. If you're looking for a change and want to feel strong without working out for hours a day, this is your girl and this is your program.

It is a 12 week program. So ill check back frequently with progress pictures.

Thanks for following along on this journey of mine.

Here is another Trey Dillon exclusive from New Orleans. He's a genius. And look at my man. Whew.

ONE YEAR MARRIED & NEW ORLEANS

Life has been crazy busy. And when i say busy, i mean HECTIC. Colby finished finals week and blew all of them out of the water. So proud of you darling. I finished up my real estate classes, and PASSED my test. Praise the Lord. All around the time of our 1 year anniversary.

This year has been a year of ups and downs, highs and lows, JOY and love. I would not of wanted to spend it with any one else but Colby. He is my second half, my breath, my light. It seems just like yesterday that i was walking down the aisle. And now, a year later we have come so far. God has more than blessed us, and we dont deserve it.

The actual day of our anniversary, May 2nd, I worked and he had to study for finals. If we wanted to see each other that day it was only for an hour on my lunch break. So we stood in our kitchen, pulled out of the freezer our year old wedding cake, and talked about how good it tastes and how much we love each other.

For our anniversary, my uncle offered  for us to use his condo in good ol New Orleans. For free. So we jumped on it. And the weekend fell on the day of my cousins Bachelorette Party. So it worked out perfectly. Colby invited Dillon so he wouldnt be alone on the day i spent with the girls. Road trip.

We arrived at 2am and it took us forever to find the place. Mostly because i was behind these bars leading into a court yard. It was so sketchy at first. But once we entered into the court yard, it was magic. We stayed in Jackson square off Chartres street. So in walking distance of everything.

Our humble abode.

The next morning i woke up super early to walk and find a coffee shop. This is the outside of the building we stayed in.

PJs coffee. It was alright. I definitely recommend finding a hole in the wall rather than a main stream coffee shop. But it was just a minute walk away, so i couldnt complain.

Day 1 was spent just as a tourist would spend it. Exploring.

Jackson Square

Our first brunch was mimosas and eggs benedict. Key to my heart.

Another view of Jackson Square. So must history. So beautiful.

Cafe Du Monde. If you come to New Orleans, you HAVE to stop here. One of the best spots in town.

Our court yard. Told you it was beautiful.
I actually fit in a total of 7 miles on the trip. Running in the streets of New Orleans is a dream. Makes it so easy.

Pascal's Manale was recommended to us by our parents. Handsdown the best Veal i have ever had.

We left Pascal's searching for the best dessert spot in the city. A lady on the street told us we had to go to The Creole Creamery, so we did. And let me tell you, after doing the Whole30 Challenge and not having any sweets. I got the biggest ice cream they made.

Friday bruch spot. Satsuma. Best coffee in the city.

Fly Park.

Driving around the Garden District is like a dream. So many historical houses. If only they could talk.

We also stopped at Mothers to try their Po Boys. We were told they are the best. And they were.

Friday night is when i met up with the girls. And let me tell you, it was a time. I had so much fun. I hadnt seen these girls since college, so it was nice catching up and reminiscing on all our fun college days.

Me and Laura, my cousin, the beautiful Bride.

Dinner at Pat O's was fabulous. Their Hurricanes are EVERYTHING. My girls are beautiful!

After dinner we explored Bourbon St. So much throwup. And it smelled. We walking into a random bar and went on the roof top, and bam, there was my husband. I was happy.

The next morning i walked to the Palace Cafe to meet the girls for brunch. We sat outside, drank good coffee, laughed about the night before and ate more eggs benedict.

The famous Canal St.

Saturday night we had reservations at Brennan's. This place has some history. Also filmed in lots of movies and tv shows. The setting was so romantic and European. The food was to die for.

The last night in New Orleans was spent watching karaoke and exploring the good parts of Bourbon St. The next morning we woke bright and early to go see the St. Louis Cemetery. One of the oldest in Louisiana.

The first memorial i saw was from 1754. A soldier.

We then proceeded to the nearest donut shop. As you can see, they are gourmet.

I had the red velvet and Colby had the cinnamon.

After donuts, we headed to The Ruby Slipper. Formed after Hurricane Katrina in efforts to bring people back home. Best brunch spot in New Orleans.

Get the fried chicken. Just do it.

We left New Orleans and i left a piece of my heart with it. The history, the architecture, the food, the music, it all felt so right to me. I want to go back and explore more of the city. And avoid Bourbon St. at all costs. Our 1 year anniversary was one i will never forget. We were so lucky to of spent it together and spent it in New Orleans.

After our trip it was back to reality. We got back into town Sunday and my real estate exam was Wednesday. I studied at least 6 hours a day that week. The test, was hard. It is made to trick and confuse you. And when i passed, i screamed, ran down the hall, jumped up and down in the elevator and called my wonderful husband to tell him the good news.

I made him promise me that if i passed, he had to take me to Bernard's. And he did just that. We ate bread, drank wine, ate crab cakes, escargot, veal and two desserts. He spoils me.

I feel so blessed in this life at the moment. The season right now is one of growth and excitement. We both are trucking along with school and have one amazing year of marriage under our belt. The Lord has presented himself to us in so many ways and is paving the path ahead. Thank you.

Heres to 100 more, with you, woo.
