Play with Cold

COLDPLAY

My all time favorite band of the history of music. This band has been with me every step of my life. Its on my favorite TV shows, it's on my iPod, my phone and in my head all day everyday. Each song has a memory behind it so that when i hear them i am always taken back.
Coldplay is a band whose lyrics have meaning behind them. Every word that they sing leaves an imprint on you. One day, i will see them in concert. I honestly cant believe i haven't yet.
If you haven't listened to them, give them a shot. I promise you wont be disappointed.
My favorite songs:

Fix You
Till Kingdom Come
See You Soon
The Scientist
Lost
Green Eyes
Every Teardrop is a Waterfall
Yellow
Us Against The World
Paradise
Christmas Lights
Lovers In Japan
A Rush of Blood to the Head
In My Place
Reign of Love
Viva la Vida
Violet Hill

The ones in BOLD are my absolute favorites. Couldn't live without them.
Cheers!

Wedding Bells

This weekend was filled with so much love.
I got to see my family and my favorite pit bull, Tilly. She ate a highlighter and got sick. Poor baby :(
I attended my little brother's first 8th grade football game. They won. YES!

I attended one of my best friends weddings! Congrats to Cesaley and Justin.
I got to see some people i haven't seen in years and be a bridesmaid to one of my oldest pals.
P.S. I introduced the bride and groom, i should get props for that right?

Were silly.

 The bride.

The groom.

 Sickly Tilly.

Brought my little brother lunch to school today. It was so strange walking the halls of middle school again. It brought me back to when things were a lot simpler.
I got to sit with him and 2 of his friends while he pointed out all the "cute girls"
i love this guy.

I also got to spend time with some of the best babies i know today!

I look like a creep, but how cute does baby Claire bear look sleeping? Precious.

Every time i go back to East Texas, i always leave taking away such heartfelt memories. I am so extremely blessed to have the people in my life that i do. I thank God every single day for giving me my little world. It isn't anything special but it is everything to me.
Cheers

Carry On

Doc said to take it east after my surgery, but i just can't. I was doing so well before and i don't want to lose it. Sorry doc but i almost got my stride back.

Houston nights.

First Aggie game of the season. YES!

Work.

My favorite part of the story. This is where, it really, gets interesting.
Finally, after 4 months, i get to see my best friend of the entire world.
In Pasadena, Texas. At the best rodeo of my life we finally reunite!

What i've learned about best friends and distance is that they never actually separate.
No matter how far apart or how long you go without seeing your best friend, its always the same when you see them again. At least thats how it is for me and my friend Val. I am very fortunate to have the people that i do in this life. I like to think that God had very important plans when he picked the people i would spend most of my time with.
So ladies and gentleman, if you have lost your way with a friend or rarely speak to them any more, pick up the phone and make it right.
I dont know where i would be in this life without my friends.
Think about it.
Carry on.

Cheers

Alfred Tennyson

Be near me when my light is low,
When the blood creeps, and the nerves prick
And tingle; and the heart is sick,
And all the wheels of Being slow.

Be near me when the sensuous frame
Is rack'd with pangs that conquer trust;
And time, a maniac scattering dust,
And Life, a Fury slinging flame.

Be near me when my faith is dry,
And men the flies of latter spring,
That lay their eggs, and sting and sing
And weave their petty cells and die.

Be near me when I fade away,
To point the term of human strife,
And on the low dark verge of life
The twilight of eternal day.

Mat Kearny

Ive been listening to Mat Kearny lately. He's an awesome indie/pop artist! I love his music. Check em out if you like music. Oh and also Kings of Leon. But thats nothing new.
Here are my two favorite songs by these artists.

P.S. When Kings of Leon was just getting started, Anthony Caleb Followill, the lead singer, made up Cold in the Desert as he started singing it. People say he was drunk and upset and the lyrics just started to flow. Well, thanks Followill, you made a beautiful, heartbreaking song, by chance.

cheers and enjoy

Appendix, gallbladders and needles OH MY!

Frist let me say that i had no idea people actually read my blog. I got 3 compliments this week alone! thanks for reading, ill try and update more since i know there are eyes on it :)

Yes, its true. I had my appendix and gallbladder removed.
YIKES!
Saturday night after Mckenna's birthday my stomach was KILLING me. Worst pain i have felt since my wisdom teeth getting pulled.
The next morning i couldn't even get out of my bed. My aunt and cousin/best friend took me to the hospital. After hours of tests and a morphine drip, they decided they needed to do surgery. My parents freaked out since they were 4 hours away.
Needless to say my dad made it in 3 1/2. My mom told me he drove 20 over the speed limit with his hazard lights on. Oh i love that man. They didn't make it for my surgery but were there when i woke up. Dazed and confused. All i remember is the nurse holding my organs in front of my face saying, "Here they are Jenna, you asked to see them!" and i responded by telling her "Gross"
I spent the night in the hospital in Houston. My cousin Laura stayed over night with me. I don't know what i would have done if she wasn't there. Every time i need to get up to go the bathroom at 4am she got up with me and held my IV. I love that girl!

This is me pre-op. This sweet little woman took amazing care of me.

Gallbladder.

Appendix.

Recovering in pain with sweet Tilly. My brother let her stay all week with me. Best gift ever.
My parents took me home from Houston so i could recover where they could watch me. The ride home was crucial. the pain meds didn't really help and i could feel every little bump the car made.

Had to get out of the house after being cooped up for 6 days. Went to eat at Kobees then went and saw some old friends. I love nights where i get to just sit around and catch up on everyones lives in good ol East Texas. Made new friends & even found a sweet puppy on the side of the road. Life is good.

Beautiful Kait and I loving on baby Dozer we found on the side of the road!

sweet baby Cade.

My last night in Henderson i spent it with my little brother curled up in his bed and watched him play Xbox. He yells at people half way across the world. Its funny. And he smells. I adore this little boy. God has big plans for him.

I have had a pretty crazy and hectic week this past week. I am still not fully recovered from my surgery. My stomach is starting to bruise and my stitches are starting to scab and peel. They also ITCH LIKE CRAZY! But on the bright side, i can now stand up all the way without hunching over like an old lady.
My friends and family have been so sweet to me throughout this little mishap. I am so grateful for all of them. God has blessed me in so many ways that i don't deserve.
Id like to thank Jesus and The Big Bang theory and my pain meds for saving me this past week.
Cheers-

Tiny Dancer

City Center. Houston.
Isn't Houston at night magical? I felt like i was in downtown Los Angeles.
The girls and I celebrated life by going to the Texans Bar & Grille to watch the Texans game.
They won. Yay. Im not really a Texans fan. Im a Cowboy fan myself, but i wont turn down a night on the town for anything.

Lately I have been working out everyday. I love it. Its starting to be apart of me. There is this cute little park by my house in Cypress and the view at dark is breathtaking.
God spends lots of time in the sky painting the perfect sky for my runs!

Loving my WWJD by Mollee V tank! Its American Apparel & is so comfy and stylish.
I get to work out and spread the Word. Winning.

My beautiful best friend Mckenna turned 23 and we ate at Eddie V's in City Center. Best food hands down. I got the crab cake and it was to die for! The waiter brought out desert and lit it on fire. It was so coooool. We decided we will be coming back.

We surprised Mckenna by renting a party bus for the night.
Wow.
Most fun our group has had since college! All our girls were there, which is rare because now we all have big girl jobs and rarely get to see each other.
Everyone was there, everyone had a magical night and everyone spilled their drinks on everyone.
Oh the good ol days..

The bar we went to on Washington Ave. called Kung Fu, had these vintage arcade games.
So much fun.

Random work picture. I know.
